Raised (full access) floors
As a need for the total flexibility of work-stations grows, so the need for
unlimited access to cables and terminals for computer and communications equipment has
also grown. Often sub-screed floor ducting cannot meet the degree of flexibility
required. It is then that the raised (full access) floor comes into its own. With cavities
extending across the entire office area, access of between 3" and 8" are
standard. Higher cavities can be provided should larger equipment need to be concealed or
uneven surfaces become a nuisance.

There
are many panel finishes that can be specified. Hardwood, vinyl, and even stone and marble
for indoor/outdoor use, are widely available. Purpose designed panels with fitted carpet
tiles give 100% access without the risk of breaking the symmetry of the flooring module. Finally, weight bearing imposes few restrictions with
performances far exceeding official limits. |
