BRITEFOX LIMITED, with more than 20 years of experience in formulating repairs and maintenance programmes, are in a position to help you plan and control your maintenance requirements within a set budget. Most major works, such as refurbishments, redecorating, flooring, rewiring, plumbing etc are usually carried out during the established recesses - winter, spring and summer - with specifications, time scales and prices prepared well in advance. Britefox Limited are experts at producing these programmes and ensuring that all information is detailed and accurate.

However, some work may need to be carried out during term-time and it is in these cases that, besides accurate specifications and prices, special care and planning is essential for the work to be carried out smoothly. With staff, students, and especially infants, moving about the premises, safety and security is a major consideration that must be professionally addressed. Britefox Limited use workmen with experience of working in education establishments and who understand the needs of staff and pupils. They are happy to co-operate in minimising disruption. When some disruption is unavoidable, they are aware of the Health & Safety aspects and implement them with great care.

While Britefox Limited can provide advice and data to accommodate all such circumstances, many circumstances are unpredictable. Broken windows, for example, being the most common. We have learnt to divide this important area into four categories, A, B, C and AA. During discussion, this makes it easier to identify how urgent a problem is.

"AA" is a need for attention the same day.
"A" within 24 hours but ideally the same day.
"B" within 48 hours but ideally within 24 hours
"C" As soon as possible but ideally within three working days.

Such classifications enable both staff and contractor to relate to the urgency for repairs and act accordingly. The head teacher, or other authorised person, decides which category to give a particular requirement. For example; a broken window on the ground floor will almost always be a "AA" category, while a broken window on, say, the third floor, may be category "A".
